Now you can stay right here at the property while you are taking a workshop or before/ after you received a session! Being surrounded by nature can help deepening the relaxation process, as well as giving us time to process things that might have come up, without being pulled back by our everyday routines. Here is everything you need to know:
The magic of the stay lies within the enchanting and inspiring atmosphere visitors are experiencing. This accommodation is for people who want to get away from it all and enjoy an inspiring and unique experience in an exceptional place. The property offers: The 'Godfrey Sculpture Park', the 'Jin Shin Do® Centre of Godfrey', the studio of Artist Blacksmith Stefan Duerst, an indoor showroom of highly unique metal art, trails, a beaver pond and lookout, as well as amazing stargazing at night. Please note that this is a no-smoking, no alcohol set-up. The sleeping space has been the original milk shed of the property, when the acreage was used as a dairy farm. Now renovated, this small (8' x 10') and clean space is an ideal sleeping shed for up to 2 people. It is fully insulated, has 2 single beds, a desk and chair, a window and a screen door. A covered outhouse is within walking distance, and there is access to drinking water at the main house coming from our well. For unloading/ loading your belongings, you can drive up right to the shed. Usage of the kitchen, washroom/ shower in the main house is not part of the deal, but can be discussed, depending on availability.
As this is the country, cell phone reception can be limited at times. You are out of view of the main house and the space is private, especially when the sculpture park is closed (the park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m). Although this is a private space, please take into consideration that there can be noise from the blacksmith shop and surrounding areas. There are lots of places on the 60 acre property to explore and to find your own little space to read, draw, take photos, or to simply take in the stunning scenery. Although this is an independent and self-contained Air B'n'B scenario, someone is usually on the property if assistance is required.
